UNITED METHODIST WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is an activity supported by our UMW. Several women in our unit knit or crochet prayer shawls for church members and friends or family of our members who are in need of special prayers. These shawls have been distributed not only in our local community, but also across America and other parts of the world.

Quilting Ministry

Quilting Guild meets every Monday morning at 9:00 in room 208 of the education building. The group’s focus is making quilts for women, youth, and children’s shelters. No quilting experience is necessary!

Baby Bib Ministry

The baby bib ministry is part of the United Methodist Women (UMW) Quilting Guild. A group of ladies accept used (but not totally worn-out) bath towels to make baby bibs. The bibs are then donated to the Orangewood Children’s Home. Over 4,300 bibs have been made and donated since 1984.
